It's clear that our community power is having a concrete impact on predatory gambling in our city.

SugarHouse has had to plan for a much smaller casino than it originally wanted, and Foxwoods has had to go begging for investors, showing it may never be financially stable enough to break ground. If these casinos ever open, we expect them to face bankruptcy in short order.

We know it's only because of all of us working together that casinos have been held off for this long.
